A message from the editor

Seshat Editing Service is aptly named after the ancient Egyptian goddess of wisdom, knowledge, and writing. A scribe and record keeper, her name means "she who is the scribe," and she is credited with inventing writing. 

Now, I'm sure the inspiration behind naming our service after Seshat is obvious, but you should know that the initial interest in Egyptian mythology (and mythology of all kinds, really) started right alongside another lifelong passion of mine: writing.

I wrote my very first story-a short suspense horror number called (and misspelled) "Boney Beach"-in the 5th grade. From there, I wrote hundreds of short and long-form stories (both originals and fanfictions) whenever I had the free time. This passion for writing continued so far that I got my degree in Writing & Linguistics from Georgia Southern University, the only school in the state with a free-standing department for the subject. Then, like a cherry on top of it all, my graduating thesis was a series of stories based on figures from Greek Mythology!

Today, I'm a professional editor with five years of experience in the writing and English fields under my belt. I have revised, edited, and advised on the work of students (and professionals) with The Princeton Review. Before that, I tutored English as a foreign or second language with the ZikTalk application, following up experience as a tutor with Georgia Southern's Student-Athlete Services. I am also a published author with my online (various topics) and print ("What's Your Major?") articles published by Study Breaks magazine throughout the summer of 2017.

As a graduate, I understand the desire to do away with an assignment or important document and submit it upon completion. However, I also know that having a fresh pair of eyes look at your work can make all of the difference and we at Seshat Editing would love to be your second sight!
